It is a chilly 45 degrees outside today. Living in Florida makes walking and exercising a little easier, except today. Where are the others? The people who are really committed to exercise are out there with me on a day like today.

As long as the sun is shining, I can usually stand the cold. So my walk today was solitary except for the healthy looking Mom who was pushing the carriage while jogging. That kid was bundled up so tight it looked like that boy from the movie, The Christmas Story. You remember, the one whose mother wrapped him up in layers and finished off with a full body snowsuit and scarves wrapped around his face.

What a glorious morning in Central Florida. I was at the J. Blanchard Park for my walk today. The sun was shining and it has finally warmed up. The cold front went away and it was 60 degees at 9:30 this morning.
It was a delightful and incredibly healthy walk today. I passed so many people who actually smiled big bright smiles. One man actually asked me how I was. There were a lot of endorphins pumping out there and I couldn’t be happier!
A warm bright Saturday morning in Florida brings out all kinds of people. There were teenagers riding their bikes and actually smiled at me. One lady who was very heavy was pumping her arms and jiving to her ipod. A group of twenty something girls were running together. I could hear them before I saw them. They were talking up a storm, something about their Friday night.
It made me want to hang out with them. Unfortunately, if I need to get up and exercise the next day forget about a wild Friday night. Oh, remember those days?
